Enable Developer mode

Open ChatGPT Settings, go to Security and login, and enable Developer mode. Availability can depend on your account and workspace policy.

Create the connection

Open ChatGPT Plugins, press +, name the connection Ellie, and paste the full public endpoint including /mcp.

Review tools and sign in

Review the tools ChatGPT discovers, complete Ellie OAuth, then choose Read only or Read and organize.

Use Ellie in a chat

Ask ChatGPT to use Ellie for questions like “Summarize what I saved this week” or “Find the sources I kept about budgeting.”

Workspace menus can differ.

ChatGPT connection features and navigation can change by plan, account, client version, and administrator policy. If Plugins or Developer mode is unavailable, check your workspace settings.
