Delete your account and data
You can request account deletion by emailing support@meetellie.app. We may send a verification link before processing the request.
After confirmation, we delete your account and personal information, saved links and videos, generated summaries and transcripts, folders and collections, plans and notes, and associated usage and device data within 30 days, subject to narrow legal, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute-retention requirements. Deletion is permanent.
Deleting Ellie does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in your Apple account settings.
Who we are
Ellie and meetellie.app are owned and managed by Red Honey LLC. This policy describes the information Ellie handles when you use the iOS app, website, share extension, and AI connector.
Information we collect
- Account identity and sign-in details supplied through Apple, Google, or email authentication.
- Public post and webpage URLs you choose to save, plus source metadata.
- Generated summaries, takeaways, tags, captions, and transcripts when available.
- Folders, collections, notes, plans, connector memory, and changes you create.
- Product interactions, diagnostics, device, app-version, language, and system information.
- Subscription and entitlement status; Ellie does not receive your full payment-card number.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run Ellie, when law requires it, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your saved content or personal information.
Current service categories include cloud authentication and databases, public-content processing, AI processing, product analytics, subscriptions, and MCP hosting.
Saved content and AI processing
When you save a supported public TikTok, Instagram post, YouTube video, or other public link, Ellie sends the URL to trusted providers to retrieve public metadata and available transcript or caption data. Ellie then uses AI processing to build the saved entry, which can include a summary, takeaways, and tags.
This processing powers your library, search, notes, plans, folders, collections, and grounded chat. Do not submit private or confidential material that you do not have the right to process.
Analytics and subscriptions
Ellie uses Mixpanel for product analytics and RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management. Analytics can include feature interactions and device context, but should not include the contents of your private notes or authentication secrets. Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Ellie MCP connector
The connector lets you send selected Ellie results to an AI assistant you explicitly connect, such as Claude or ChatGPT. It uses OAuth and runs requests as your signed-in Ellie account under database row-level access controls.
At sign-in, you can choose Read only, which can search and read your library, or Read and organize, which can additionally perform supported reversible organization, user-owned metadata edits, and note or memory actions. The approved scope controls which tools the assistant can see and call.
Your connected AI provider receives the prompts and Ellie results needed to answer your request and processes them under its own terms. Disconnect access when you no longer want that provider to use Ellie.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect Ellie data, including authenticated access and account-scoped database policies. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide Ellie, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Connector operation records used for reliability and undo support are tied to your account and removed when the account is deleted, subject to the exceptions above.
Your choices
- Delete individual saves, folders, notes, and other content in Ellie.
- Disconnect an AI connector and choose a narrower scope when reconnecting.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple account settings.
- Request account deletion or ask a privacy question by contacting us.
Children's privacy
Ellie is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided information to Ellie, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Ellie changes. We will post the revised date here and provide additional notice when required. Questions and requests can be sent to support@meetellie.app.
